Sample Collection
A duly filled Test Send Out Consent Form (Form 35) is mandatory prior to sample collection. No specific fasting is required, but follow any instructions provided by your referring physician. Laboratory Analysis
A healthcare professional will draw approximately 2 mL of blood from a vein in your arm using standard venipuncture technique. The blood will be collected into a Red Top (No Additive) tube. Do not use SST gel barrier tubes for this test. The procedure typically takes 5-10 minutes.
Report Delivery
Serum must be separated from the clot within 1 hour of collection. The separated serum should be shipped refrigerated (2-8°C) or frozen. Apply gentle pressure to the puncture site with a cotton ball for 3-5 minutes to stop bleeding. You may resume normal activities immediately after sample collection.

How to Prepare

- Separate serum from clot within 1 hour of collection
- Ship sample refrigerated (2-8°C) or frozen
- Sample must reach the reference laboratory by the 7th of the month
