How to Prepare
- Ensure the patient has signed the consent form
- Collect blood in an EDTA tube (purple top)
- For urine, collect a midstream clean-catch sample in a sterile container
- CSF should be collected by a healthcare professional in a sterile tube
- Label the sample with patient ID and collection time
- Transport samples to the laboratory immediately; if delayed, refrigerate at 2-8°C
