How to Prepare
- Day 1: Collect a 50 mL aliquot of 24-hour urine without preservatives. Label as Non-acidified urine.
- Day 2: Collect a 50 mL aliquot of 24-hour urine with 25 mL 50% concentrated HCl to maintain pH below 3. Label as Acidified urine.
- Mention total volume on Test Request Form for both specimens.
- Record patient weight on Test Request Form.
- Ship both specimens frozen. DO NOT THAW.
