Refrain from taking vitamins, mineral, or herbal supplements for one week prior to specimen collection. If Gadolinium or Iodine-containing contrast media has been administered, wait at least 96 hours before collecting the specimen. Use only the acid-washed (metal-free) container kit provided. How to Prepare

- Discard the first morning urine on day 1; begin collecting all urine from that point forward
- Collect all urine for the next 24 hours, including the first morning urine on day 2
- Mix the entire 24-hour urine sample thoroughly
- Measure and record the total 24-hour urine volume on the container and test request form
