Sample Collection
If gadolinium or iodine-containing contrast media has been administered, the specimen should not be collected for 96 hours. Fasting is not required.
Method: Blood draw (venipuncture)
Laboratory Analysis
A trained phlebotomist will draw blood from a vein in your arm using a metal-free collection tube. Powderless gloves must be used during specimen collection to prevent contamination.
Report Delivery
Apply pressure to the puncture site and keep the bandage on for a few hours. You may resume normal activities immediately.

How to Prepare
- Use a metal-free Royal Blue Top (K2EDTA) tube.
- Collect 4 mL whole blood (minimum 2 mL).
- Use powderless gloves during specimen collection.
- Ship refrigerated. Do not freeze.
