Understanding Your Results
No significant autoimmune thyroid activity detected. Symptoms, if present, may be due to other non-autoimmune causes of thyroid dysfunction.
Strongly suggestive of Hashimoto's thyroiditis or Graves' disease. Anti-TPO is often the first antibody to rise in autoimmune thyroid disease.
Highly indicative of autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's thyroiditis). Correlate with TSH and Free T4 levels to determine thyroid functional status.
May be seen in early autoimmune thyroid disease, thyroid cancer follow-up, or other autoimmune conditions. Clinical correlation is recommended.
