How to Prepare
- Tissue must be placed in 10% Neutral Buffered Formalin immediately after excision
- Volume of formalin should be at least 10 times the tissue volume
- Label the container with patient identification and date
- Transport at room temperature to the laboratory within 24 hours
- Do not freeze the specimen
