Overview
The purpose of the Fever SARS-CoV-2 Panel Test is to accurately detect the presence of SARS-CoV-2 and other pathogens responsible for fever-related illnesses. This includes identifying active COVID-19 infections via RT-PCR, assessing hematological parameters through a hemogram and NLR, and screening for Dengue, Chikungunya, Malaria, and Typhoid using specific antigen and antibody tests. Early detection facilitates prompt medical intervention, isolation measures, and treatment to curb disease spread and improve patient outcomes.

Understanding Your Results
Positive for SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR
Indicates active COVID-19 infection. Isolation and medical consultation recommended.
Negative for SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR
No detection of SARS-CoV-2, but if symptoms persist, repeat testing or clinical evaluation may be needed.
Abnormal Hemogram or NLR
May suggest infection, inflammation, or other hematological conditions. Further evaluation required.
Positive for Dengue NS1 or Chikungunya IgM
Suggests infection with respective viruses. Clinical correlation and supportive care advised.
Positive for Malaria Parasite or Typhi IgM
Indicates potential Malaria or Typhoid infection. Immediate treatment and follow-up necessary.
Consult a doctor if test results are positive, if symptoms worsen or persist after testing, or if there is exposure to known infectious cases. Seek medical advice for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Limitations
- ⚠False-negative results possible if tested too early in infection
- ⚠Results depend on sample quality and transport conditions
- ⚠Not a standalone diagnostic tool without clinical correlation
- ⚠Serological tests may not detect current infection but past exposure
- ⚠Limitations in detecting low viral loads
Risks & Considerations
- ●Minor pain or bruising at the blood draw site
- ●Discomfort or gagging during swab collection
- ●Rare risk of infection at puncture site
- ●No significant risks for most individuals
Interfering Factors
- ●Improper sample collection or handling
- ●Contamination of samples
- ●Recent vaccination or prior infections affecting serological results
- ●Cross-reactivity in antibody tests
- ●Use of certain medications that may influence hematological parameters
