"The Phospholipid Antibody IgG test should always be combined with clinical history and other antiphospholipid tests. A single positive result is not enough for a lifelong APS diagnosis; the antibody should be demonstrated on at least two occasions, 12 or more weeks apart."

Negative

Equivocal / Borderline
Antibody levels are not clearly above threshold; repeat testing may be considered.
Positive
Antibody detected. This supports APS if clinical features are present and the result remains positive on repeat testing after 12 weeks.
If you have had unexplained blood clotting, recurrent pregnancy loss, livedo reticularis, low platelets, or if your test result is positive, consult your treating physician urgently for confirmatory testing and management.
Limitations
- ⚠A single positive result is not enough to diagnose APS; repeat testing after 12 weeks is required.
