Overview
The purpose of the Stomach Health Test / Gastro Panel Test is to identify the underlying cause of gastric symptoms through a simple blood draw. It measures biomarkers that reflect gastric mucosal structure and function, enabling detection of H. pylori infection, gastritis, peptic ulcer risk, GERD, and chronic atrophic gastritis—a precancerous condition. This panel serves as a first-line screening tool to guide clinicians in deciding whether further invasive evaluation like endoscopy is required.

Understanding Your Results
Healthy gastric mucosa with no evidence of atrophy or active H. pylori infection.
Indicates H. pylori-associated gastritis. Eradication therapy may be considered based on clinical context.
Suggests chronic atrophic gastritis of the corpus; further endoscopic evaluation is recommended.
Suggests chronic atrophic gastritis of the antrum; confirmatory endoscopy and biopsy are recommended.
Suggestive of hypergastrinemia, possibly related to hypo/achlorhydria or other causes; clinical correlation required.
Consult your healthcare provider if you experience persistent abdominal pain, unexplained weight loss, difficulty swallowing, vomiting blood, black or tarry stools, or any symptoms that do not improve with routine treatment.
Limitations
- ⚠Serological tests may not reliably distinguish between past and current H. pylori infection.
- ⚠Reference ranges can vary between laboratories, populations, and methods.
- ⚠Results are not diagnostic on their own and must be interpreted in the context of clinical symptoms and other investigations.
- ⚠The panel does not replace upper GI endoscopy and biopsy when mucosal damage is strongly suspected.
Risks & Considerations
- ●Bruising at the needle site
- ●Dizziness or lightheadedness
- ●Infection (very rare)
- ●Prolonged bleeding (unlikely)

- ●Use of proton pump inhibitors (such as omeprazole, pantoprazole, rabeprazole, esomeprazole, lansoprazole) within 1 week prior to testing
- ●Use of H2 receptor blockers (e.g., ranitidine) within 1 week prior
- ●Smoking within 4 hours before sample collection
- ●Recent food intake (not fasting as required)
