Sample Collection
No fasting is required. Collect at steady state and at the requested peak (2-4 hours after dose) or trough (0.5-1 hour before dose). Tell your doctor about all medicines and supplements. Complete and attach the Test Send Out Consent Form (Form 35).
Method: Venipuncture
Laboratory Analysis
A blood sample of 3 mL (minimum 2 mL) will be collected from a vein. A red-top tube without additive must be used. Do not use SST gel barrier tubes.

Apply gentle pressure to the puncture site. Resume normal activities as advised. Keep the sample refrigerated or frozen if transport is delayed.

How to Prepare
- Use a Red Top (No Additive) tube; do not use SST gel barrier tubes.
- Collect 3 mL blood; minimum 2 mL is acceptable.
- Record the time of collection and the patient’s last dose time.
- Collect sample at peak (2-4 hrs after dose) or trough (0.5-1 hr before dose) at steady state.
- Transport refrigerated or frozen after serum separation.
- Attach the duly filled Test Send Out Consent Form (Form 35).
