How to Prepare
- Do not urinate for at least 1 hour before urethral swab collection
- For vaginal swab, use a sterile speculum if needed
- For urine, collect first-void urine (first 20-30 ml) in a sterile container
- Ensure sample is transported to the lab within 24 hours if refrigerated
