- Bone Marrow: 2 mL in Green Top tube, ship refrigerated
- Body Fluids: Submit in sterile screw capped container, ship refrigerated
- Tissue: Submit in sterile normal saline, ship refrigerated
- Swabs: Submit in 1 mL sterile normal saline, ship refrigerated
- Sputum/Urine: Submit 2 morning samples, ship refrigerated
- Skin: Submit 2-3 mm scrapings or between sterile slides, ship refrigerated
- Hair: Submit plucked infected hairs including root, ship refrigerated
- Nail: Submit clippings from affected area, ship refrigerated
