- Price
- ₹3,500
- Sample Type
- Whole blood or bone marrow
- Result Time
- Sample daily by 9 am; report same day.
- Fasting Required
- No
- Method
- Flow Cytometry
Sample Collection
Provide brief clinical history, including any prior cancer treatment, especially anti-CD20 therapy. No fasting is required.
Method: Venipuncture for whole blood; bone marrow aspiration by a clinician
Laboratory Analysis
For whole blood, a standard venipuncture is performed. For bone marrow, a trained specialist collects the sample under aseptic conditions.

Test Parameters & Specifications
Sample Stability
- Clotted sample
- Hemolyzed sample
- Refrigerated or frozen sample
- Insufficient volume
- Sample delayed beyond 24 hours at room temperature
Understanding Your Results
CD20-positive mature B-cell population
Confirms B-cell lineage; may support B-cell lymphoma/leukemia when clonal
Clonal B-cell population with CD20 expression
Supports diagnosis of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma or leukemia
Reduced or absent CD20
May occur after anti-CD20 therapy or in certain plasma cell/plasmablastic neoplasms
Consult a hematologist or oncologist if you have unexplained fever, night sweats, weight loss, lymph node swelling, fatigue, or abnormal blood counts.
Limitations
- ⚠Flow cytometry requires viable, adequately transported cells
- ⚠Low cell counts may limit analysis
- ⚠Results should be interpreted with clinical and morphological findings
Risks & Considerations
- ●Mild pain or bruising at venipuncture site
- ●Bone marrow aspiration may cause transient pain or bleeding
Interfering Factors
- ●Prior anti-CD20 therapy (e.g., rituximab) may reduce or mask CD20 expression
- ●Hemolyzed or clotted samples
- ●Delayed transport beyond recommended stability
- ●Incorrect sample collection or storage (refrigeration/freezing)
