Understanding Your Results
Mutation Detected
Presence of actionable genetic alteration; consider targeted therapy as per NCCN guidelines.
No Mutation Detected
Absence of tested mutations; evaluate other treatment options like chemotherapy or immunotherapy based on PD-L1 status.
PD-L1 High Expression
TPS ≥ 50%; immunotherapy may be a primary option.
PD-L1 Low Expression
TPS 1-49%; immunotherapy could be considered in combination with other treatments.
PD-L1 Negative
TPS < 1%; immunotherapy may have limited efficacy; focus on other modalities.
Consult an oncologist immediately if test results show mutations or if symptoms persist or worsen, for tailored treatment planning and follow-up.
Limitations
- ⚠Detects only specific mutations included in the panel
- ⚠Not a standalone diagnostic; requires clinical correlation
- ⚠Sensitivity depends on tumor cell shedding into blood
- ⚠Not recommended for early-stage cancers with low circulating tumor DNA
Risks & Considerations
- ●Minimal risks associated with blood draw, such as bruising or infection at the puncture site
- ●No significant procedural risks due to non-invasive nature
Interfering Factors
- ●Improper sample collection or handling
- ●Contamination during blood draw
- ●Delay in shipping beyond 72 hours at room temperature
- ●Use of incorrect tubes or preservatives
