Sample Collection
Follow the doctor's advice. Overnight fasting is mandatory. The sample must be collected in a plain red top tube and protected from light.
Method: Venepuncture / Blood draw
Laboratory Analysis
A small volume of blood will be drawn from a vein in your arm. The sample is immediately wrapped in aluminium foil to protect the tocopherol from light.

Borderline low level with neuropathy or malabsorption symptoms
Action: Discuss additional testing with the doctor.
Consult a doctor if you have muscle weakness, unsteadiness, vision changes, recurrent infections or anaemia. Vitamin E supplements should not be started without medical evaluation.
