Sample Collection
Overnight fasting is preferred. Discontinue Heparin for 1 day and Oral Anticoagulants for 7 days prior with physician consent. Ensure Duly filled Chromosome and FISH Analysis Requisition Form (Form 17) and Coagulation Requisition Form (Form 15) are completed.
Method: Venipuncture
Laboratory Analysis
Blood samples are collected via venipuncture into specified tubes (Green Top for Chromosome Analysis, Blue Top for Coagulation, SST's for Serum). Samples must be mixed by inversion and handled carefully.
Report Delivery
Ship green top tubes refrigerated immediately, do not freeze. For blue top tube, process within 4 hours or prepare PPP and freeze. Serum samples ship refrigerated or frozen. Ensure all forms are included and samples reach lab within specified timeframes.

- Ship green tubes refrigerated, blue tube frozen if not processed immediately
