Sample Collection
Overnight fasting is preferred. Ensure the Coagulation Requisition Form (Form 15) is duly filled. Avoid anticoagulant medications as advised by your doctor.

Who Should Get This Test
The purpose of the Coagulation Screen Test is to assess the blood's clotting function by measuring key coagulation factors, helping diagnose bleeding or clotting disorders and guide medical treatment.
How to Prepare
- Collect 3 mL whole blood in 1 Lavender Top (EDTA) tube. Ship refrigerated. DO NOT FREEZE.
- Collect 3 mL whole blood in 1 Blue Top (Sodium Citrate) tube. Mix thoroughly by inversion.
- Transport to lab within 4 hours. If delayed, prepare Platelet-Poor Plasma (PPP) by centrifuging at 3600 rpm for 15 minutes, transfer supernatant, and centrifuge again. Freeze immediately and ship frozen. DO NOT THAW.
- Overnight fasting is preferred. Duly filled Coagulation Requisition Form (Form 15) is mandatory.
