However, mild elevations may also be observed in other autoimmune conditions such as SLE and rheumatoid arthritis. This test should always be interpreted in the context of clinical findings, family history, and complementary laboratory investigations including serum vitamin B12, soluble FAS ligand levels, and FAS/FASL/CASP10 genetic testing."
