Understanding Your Results
Suggests current or recent primary rubella infection. If pregnant, urgent obstetric counselling is needed to assess the risk of congenital rubella syndrome.
Suggests past rubella infection or reinfection. This is less likely to be associated with recent primary infection, and the risk to the fetus is lower.
