How to Prepare
- Collect 3 mL whole blood in a Blue Top (Sodium Citrate) tube.
- Mix thoroughly by inversion.
- Transport to lab within 4 hours.
- If delayed, prepare platelet-poor plasma (PPP) within 1 hour by centrifuging at 3600 rpm for 15 min, transferring supernatant, and centrifuging again.
- Freeze the PPP immediately and ship frozen. Do not thaw.
